杜邦和埃克森美孚用新型TPV为汽车转角密封件加强粘接

杜邦运输及工业公司已与埃克森美孚化学公司的特种弹性体业务合作,开发用于汽车转角密封件的新型山都平热塑性硫化胶(TPV)。通过用杜邦的工程硅基添加剂取代传统的有机滑移添加剂,两家公司配制了新一代山都平热塑性硫化弹性体平台,改善了与三元乙丙橡胶(EPDM)橡胶基板的粘接,并降低了摩擦系数,便于门窗的开启和关闭。新的山都平热塑性硫化弹性体B260系列产品还提供了更好的流动性能、耐磨性和紫外线光稳定性。

杜邦公司市场经理Christophe Paulo表示:“我们与埃克森美孚的成功合作取得的成果远不止尖端的TPV产品。它还为未来利用我们的有机硅技术的独特属性来解决行业挑战和提供更好的消费者体验的项目奠定了基础。”

为了满足客户对改进转角密封件的需求,埃克森美孚寻求提高山都平热塑性硫化聚乙烯与EDPM橡胶的粘接,同时提高其滑动性能。然而,降低摩擦系数以提高滑动性能可能会对粘合产生负面影响。该公司与杜邦合作,探索其先进的有机硅添加剂的使用,这种添加剂有望超过埃克森美孚一直在采用的有机添加剂。
